LEC Robotics Brings Autonomous Coffee to UCL

University College London became the first Russell Group university to host a fully autonomous coffee robot, with LEC Robotics deploying the XBOT S Pro on campus in central London. From grind to cup, every order is handled autonomously. No barista. No counter staff. Just consistent, freshly made coffee, served at the pace the campus demands.
To mark UCL's 200th anniversary, the XBOT S Pro printed the UCL 200 logo directly onto every latte, turning each cup into a celebration of 200 years of innovation.
Inspiring the Next Generation For students studying engineering, robotics, and computer science, seeing autonomous technology operating in their own environment makes the possibilities tangible. It does not just demonstrate what automation can do today. It shows students what they could be building tomorrow.
Consistent Service Across the Full Day UCL's campus sees high and unpredictable footfall from morning to late afternoon. The XBOT S Pro delivers the same quality and speed across the entire operating day, with no variability and no drop-off during peak periods.
A Real-World Demonstration The UCL deployment reflects LEC Robotics approach to introducing autonomous service technology: place it somewhere real, let people interact with it, and let it speak for itself.
